Relevant information when flying with us.

Departure information

Flights depart from Marcos A. Gelabert Airport, Main Terminal. You must arrive at least 90 minutes before the flight to check in.

Allowed luggage

The pounds are the TOTAL WEIGHT allowed per passenger among their: suitcase, bag, purse, surfboard, or permitted sports item. $2.00 will be charged for each pound exceeding the weight allowed in the selected fare (Economy, Economy Plus, or Premium).

Sports equipment

To travel with a surfboard, fishing rod, or permitted sports equipment, you must notify us in advance to ensure cargo hold space. The permitted dimensions for a surfboard are a maximum of 7 feet (including cover); the first board is part of your allowed luggage and from the second onward, $25 is charged per board.

Traveling with children?

Infants: Children under 2 years old travel free and must sit on the responsible adult's lap.

Unaccompanied minors

We offer unaccompanied minor service for children between 5 and 14 years old who travel without the company of a family member, guardian, or host who is at least 18 years old.

How does it work?

Before the flight departure: It begins at the airport counter, with the minor being transferred through security and immigration processes to the boarding gate and seated inside the aircraft.

Upon arrival at the destination: The minor is escorted off the plane, goes through immigration and customs, and is handed over to the responsible person.

1. Learn about the policy

  • Children under 5 years old: must be accompanied by a family member, guardian, or host over 18 years of age.
  • Between 5 and 14 years old: the minor must be accompanied by one of the traffic agents.
  • Between 15 and 17 years old: the unaccompanied minor service is optional; if requested, fees and conditions apply. When traveling alone, the minor must present a letter signed by their family member, guardian, or host authorizing them to travel with the airline.

2. Make the reservation

The service must be requested at least 72 hours before the flight departure or when booking through our sales executives. A maximum of 2 unaccompanied minors are accepted per flight. If you arrive at the airport without a reservation, the unaccompanied minor service will be subject to availability.

3. Check the cost

Please contact one of our sales agents to check costs according to the destination you wish to fly to.

4. Keep the requested information in mind

  • Name and relationship of the person who will hand over the child at the airport.
  • Telephone number and home address of that person.
  • Name and relationship of the person who will receive the child.
  • Home and office telephone number of that person.
  • Identity number or photo identification of the adult who will accompany the minor to the airport and of the adult who will receive the minor.
  • Authorization letter from the legal guardian.

Conditions

  • The airline is not responsible for being unable to provide the required special services if the request is not made as established.
  • An unaccompanied minor must not carry hand luggage that they cannot look after. Flytrip is not responsible for the contents of their hand luggage or for any valuables they carry.
  • An unaccompanied minor cannot travel with pets.
  • A minor cannot be the guardian of another minor unless it is proven that they are the parent or legal guardian.
  • Unaccompanied minors and young travelers who are undergoing medical treatment or have a special medical condition may not be accepted unless they present a medical document authorizing the minor's travel without the company of a responsible adult.
  • The person handing over the unaccompanied minor must remain available at the airport until the flight departure is confirmed and, once the plane has taken off, must remain at the airport until one hour after takeoff.
  • When the unaccompanied minor arrives at their destination, the person receiving them must show documentation identifying them as the person listed on the form.
  • The unaccompanied minor service is non-refundable. However, if the minor was unable to travel on the original ticket date, the service may be reissued for a later flight.

We are Pet Friendly

Small and medium pets: up to 30 lbs travel free, and from the second registered pet onward, an additional $25 fee will apply. If your pet weighs more than 30 lbs, you must purchase a seat for it. You must notify us in advance to confirm pet availability in the cabin.

All pets must have a leash, muzzle, and bring copies of their good health and vaccination card showing that the rabies vaccine has been administered (Ministry of Health Note No. 003-DGZ-DEZ). If the pet soils the aircraft, a B/.200 cleaning fee will apply.

Cancellation policy

Applies according to the selected fare.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Personal data processing

Flytrip will process your data for the purpose of managing:

  • Reservations and travel itinerary.
  • Inquiries, complaints/incidents, claims, and requests from customers and/or passengers, and any other communication.
  • Ensuring your safety and complying with other legal requirements applicable to all airlines (PNR data).
  • Market analysis and studies, through cookies and other similar technologies and tools.
  • Tracking customers who use the Website.
  • To identify ways to improve the browsing experience.
  • Personal data communications to additionally contracted providers and/or collaborators.
  • Emergency situations, disasters, or in general force majeure.
  • The website, social media; flight safety; fraud prevention; and compliance with legal obligations.

Flytrip will retain users' personal data for the period necessary to fulfill the contracted service. In any case, users' personal data will be retained for the duration of the contractual relationship.

Once the relationship has ended, Flytrip will block the personal data for the limitation periods of the obligations that may arise from the processing and/or the current legal periods, making it available to the competent authorities to respond to any liabilities that may have arisen from the processing, and afterward it will be deleted.

Likewise, Flytrip will retain users' personal data as long as they do not object to the processing or withdraw their previously given consent, and as long as there is no commercial need or legitimate interest, and may:

  • Anonymize them, to process them for statistical purposes that allow Flytrip to better understand its customers, as well as their preferences or needs.
  • Block them, remaining available to the competent authorities during the legally established limitation periods to respond to any liabilities that may have arisen from the processing of your data.
  • Delete them.

The processing of personal data involves a risk for the people who provide it. This risk may result in a violation of users' privacy due to a security breach. Therefore, Flytrip takes appropriate measures to ensure the confidentiality of the data collected from users, preventing any unauthorized destruction, loss, disclosure, or access, as well as accidental or unlawful alteration of the personal data submitted.

Flytrip adopts organizational and technical measures to protect users' personal data, including employee awareness, sensitization, and training; the establishment of appropriate security policies and protocols; as well as data encryption, information pseudonymization, antivirus software, and firewalls. Flytrip continuously reviews and updates these measures, ensuring that the implemented measures do not become obsolete in the face of new threats. However, Flytrip cannot guarantee absolute security of the data collected against a possible cyberattack, in which case it will notify the competent supervisory authority and users as soon as possible, indicating the compromised data.
